چکیده
Additive manufacturing of complex porous polymer geometries is a new field advanced materials processing. Such can be used to fabricate monoliths serving as support for other material functions. Here, novel fabrication technology manufacture tailored 3D via additive and templating presented. The method based on replicating 3D-printed mold with solution polyvinylidenfluorid-triethyl phosphate (PVDF-TEP) induce phase separation the subsequently. In second step, removed without affecting PVDF phase. As result, templated architecture are successfully fabricated. process applied structures any conceivable geometry. Coating another allows applying skin layer yielding an asymmetric membrane monolith. showcase, polydimethylsiloxane coating even leads smooth dense micrometer size. methodology enables generation surface coatings. For combination poly(dimethylsiloxane) support, gas/liquid mass transfer in blood oxygenation reduced diffusion limitation within reach.

Synthesis of emulsion-templated porous polyacrylonitrile and its pyrolysis to porous carbon monoliths
PolyHIPEs are emulsion-templated polymers synthesized within high internal phase emulsions (HIPEs). The miscibility of acrylonitrile (AN) with water has made it difficult to synthesize PAN-based polyHIPEs. This paper describes the successful synthesis of PAN-based polyHIPEs by crosslinking through copolymerization with divinylbenzene (DVB), by stabilization with a polyglycerol polyricinoleate s...
متن کاملSilica monoliths templated on L3 liquid crystal.
Dimensionally stable, optically clear, highly porous (approximately 65% of the apparent volume), and high surface area (up to 1400 m(2)/g) silica monoliths were fabricated as thick disks (0.5 cm) by templating the isotropic liquid crystalline L(3) phase with silica through the hydrolysis and condensation of a silicon alkoxide and then removing the organic constituents by supercritical ethanol e...
متن کاملPercolation transition in the porous structure of latex-templated silica monoliths
Porous sol-gel silica monoliths are prepared using PMMA nanoparticles, 60 nm in diameter, as sacrificial templates. The pore-structure of the calcined pellets is investigated through nitrogen adsorption to assess the evolution of the porosity when varying the amount of porogen. The latex templated monoliths present a well defined spherical extrinsic porosity and an intrinsic microporosity due t...
متن کاملFabrication of porous carbon monoliths with a graphitic framework
Macro/mesoporous carbon monoliths with a graphitic framework were synthesized by carbonizing polymeric monoliths of poly(benzoxazine-co-resol). The overall synthesis process consists of the following steps: a) the preparation of polymeric monoliths by copolymerization of resorcinol and formaldehyde with a polyamine (tetraethylenepentamine), b) doping the polymer with a metallic salt of Fe, Ni o...
متن کاملPreparation of mesoporous silica monoliths with ordered arrays of macrochannels templated from electric-field-oriented hydrogels.
The fabrication of ordered inorganic arrays of varying length scales and with multimodal porosities is of practical importance owing to their potential application in many areas of materials chemistry, including catalysis and separations science. A common approach to the controlled synthesis of this class of materials, first exploited in the synthesis of the MCM-41 family of molecular sieves, i...
